Koeman IV, map 5070. - Prince Maurits' sailing carriages were designed by Simon Stevin (1548-1620, Walloon mathematician, physicist and engineer). The prince, who was always open to new inventions, invited 27 distinguished guests (including ambassadors, generals, etc.) on a trip between April 13 and May 23, 1602. They traveled along the coast from Scheveningen to Petten. - Nice, rich impression. - Price includes the frame (71:85 cm).
