Bartsch 80. - Sebald Beham, also known as Hans Sebald Beham (1500, Nuremberg - November 22, 1550, Frankfurt am Main) was a German painter and printmaker, mainly known for his very small engravings. He was one of the most important of the "Little Masters", the group of German artists making prints in the generation after Dürer. - Dido was the legendary founder and first queen of the Phoeniciancity-state of Carhage. She committed suicide after Aineias left her, whom she fell hopelessly in love with. - Nice clear impession. Collector's stamp and a trace of adjustment on verso.
