Dicat ... MDCXXIII". (Nuremberg): Sandrart, 1623. Engraved title page and 16 copper engravings, each approx. 30x15 cm (11 3/4 x 6 inch.) on laid paper approx. 31x16 cm (12 1/4 x 6 1/4 inch.). Engraved by Lucas Kilian after Johann Matthias Kager's (1575-1634) drawings. Loose leaves - complete set.

John the Baptist, Jesus Christ, the Virgin Mary, the 12 Apostles and St. Paul all represented as statues within niches. - Nice complete cycle of engravings in good condition. Printed on handmade paper with a large watermark (motif from the cover page - (episcopal miter, stick and coats of arms, letters VDD added). - Some leaves with a trace of a rusty staple, sheet no. 7 with a drawed grid in sepia (for an old copyist). Old collector's numbers in ink pencil on verso.
