A selection from Books VII to XI on anthropology and zoology of Pliny's Historia Naturalis. The book is illustrated with ca. two hundred woodcuts by various Renaissance artists (Jost Amman, Virgil Solis, Hans Burkmair and others) depicting various professions (scientists, artists, musicians, soldiers, doctors) and animals. - Somewhat browned throughout, otherwise complete and well preserved.
