Joseph Furttenbach the Elder (30 December 1591 - 17 January 1667) was a German architect, mathematician, engineer and diarist. - The binding in the corners and on the edges abraded, in the spine at the top cracked and at the top and bottom approx. 5mm with broken cover. - Plate nr. 5 - door portals missing. The margins of plates 1, 6 and 14 with several defects, a crack in plate 11 repaired. Otherwise well preserved. - An important treatise on Renaissance bourgeois architecture.
