This edition ca. 1852 ("die Strassen nach der im Jahre 1852 erschienen rusischen Post-Karte berichtigt"). 17 litho. plates (plate 13 - 1, 2), each devided into 6-10 parts + a folded lithographic map with an overview of the order of plates ("Squelette der Kriegsstrassenkarte von Russland"; printed on paper sized 38:26,5 cm). With litho. title with explanatory notes and the scale of map, list of territories shown on the map ("Von Russland fallen in der Bereich dieser Karte: ...") and a list of abbreviations ("Schrift-Abkürzungen im Bereich vom Russland"). Each plate ca. 39:28 to 39:65 cm (ca. 15 1/2 x 11 inch. to 15 1/2 x 25 1/2 inch.).

A map of the European part of Russia reaching from Finnland, White Sea and Archangelsk in the North to Kazan and Samara in the East, Azov and Black Seas in the South and Opole and Poznan in Poland and the Baltic States in the West. - Rare! - Theodor Friedrich von Schubert (Fedor Fedorovich Shubert; 1789–1865) was a Baltic German general and scientist. Born in Saint Petersburg as the son of astronomer Theodor von Schubert. - 17 parts mounted on canvas, folded in the original cardboard case with a title label on the spine. - The case with some minor damages, the map inside well preserved.
