With engraved title at the top left of the centre, painter's signature at the lower left corner, engraver's signature with the number of engraving (8) at the lower right corner and latin text under the picture. 205x255 mm (8 x 10 inch.).

Rare early state of this engraving. Margins ca. 1 cm. Well preserved, slight soiling on the top right. - Dirck Volckertsz Coornhert (1522 - 29 October 1590) was a Dutch writer, philosopher, translator, politician, theologian and artist. Maerten van Heemskerck (1 June 1498 - 1 October 1574) was a Dutch portrait and religious painter.
