Václav Clemens Žebrácký, also known as Václav Clemens of Libá Hora (c. 1589, Žebrák – 1636, England), was a Czech scholar, humanist, educator, diplomat, poet, and writer who was elevated to the nobility. He was a graduate of Charles University, sympathized with the Czech Estates Uprising, and after its defeat decided to emigrate from Bohemia. He subsequently lived in exile in several countries, residing successively in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and England, where he eventually died. He is remembered primarily as the author of a number of Latin, mostly celebratory, poems.
