First state of the plate, without the number in the lower right corner. - A rare map of Korcula, a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea. Oriented to the South. - Giovanni Francesco Camocio (1501-1575) was active as map publisher in Venice between 1558 and 1575. He was one of the most important mapmakers of the Lafreri-school.
