Shirley: The Mapping of the World, map 260; Koeman III, map 0001H:351, ed. 351:21 (1609 Atlas Minor [Ger.]). - One of the earliest thematic maps showing the dispersion of major religions around the world. Various symbols are used to indentify different religious groups including Christians (cross), Muslims (crescent), and idolaters (arrow). - Right margin trimmed (approx. 3 mm from the plate) and set with paper from the time.
