Particularly Distinguished the Thirteen Provinces wich Compose the United States of North America". Original copper engraving. Engraved and published  by Mathew Albert and George Frederic Lotter, Augsburg, 1784. Orig. old colouring. With great figure cartouche and a compass rose. 50,5:57,5 cm (20 x 22 3/4 inch.).

The upper right part of originally 4 sheet map showing the states of the northeast coast of the USA (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington DC and part of North Carolina) and Newfoundland. - The cartouche beneath the title shows a prosperous harbor view centered on three wealthy gentlemen, one seated in front of his well-stocked warehouse and being served a glass of wine by a black slave. - Mathew Albert and George Frederic were sons and successors of cartographer and publisher Tobias Conrad Lotter (1717-1777).
