Very well preserved. - C/1680 V1, also called the Great Comet of 1680, Kirch's Comet, and Newton's Comet, was the first comet discovered by telescope. The comet was discovered on November 14, 1680 by the German astronomer Gottfried Kirch and was last observed on March 19, 1681. It one of the brightest comets of the seventeenth century.
