Kronstadt, also spelled Kronshtadt, Cronstadt, is a municipal town in Kronshtadtsky District of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia, located on Kotlin Island, 30 kilometers west of St. Petersburg proper near the head of the Gulf of Finland.
