With title cartouche (in Cyrillic), 2 inset maps of January and July isotherms across the Asian landmass, 3 cartouches with explanatory notes, with 20 views (cities, mountains and more) on the sides, many illustrations (figures, animals, buildings) with descriptions (in Cyrillic and Chinese) in the map and Chinese inscriptions on the sides and above the map. 140:190 cm (55 1/4 x 75 inch. - the map).

A rare edition of this very decorative map of China with descriptions in Russian cyrillic. The more common edition ('Map of China') has a cartouche and descriptions in English.- The map illustrates the diversity of the country, showing its natural resources and monuments, political and administrative boundaries, provinces, cities, roads, railways, wildlife, mountains, rivers, lakes, canals, agricultural areas, religious and educational buildings, and more.- Printed from 8 lithographic plates (each approx. 75:49,5 cm), joined and mounted on canvas measuring 151:201 cm (59 1/2 x 79 1/4 inch.).
