With ornamental title cartouche, German title ("Wahrhafftige entwerffung Des gantze Streichs, so aus Holland geg Mitternacht ...") in the upper left corner, 2 coats-of-arms, 4 wind roses, 2 ships and a sea-calf and a whale. 14:34 cm.

A map of the northern part of Europe. The map is derived from Linschoten's important chart depicting the discoveries of Barent's first and second voyages to the Arctic in search of a northeast passage to Asia. The map provides excellent information on the northern coastline of Scandinavia to the west coast of Novaya Zemlya.From de Bry's Orientalische Indien (Kleine Reisen - German ed. of his Petit Voyages).
