The book features an overview of the geography of the Ottoman Empire, including the Aegean, the Sea of Marmara, and the Black Sea region - the "three seas" to which the title refers. - Spine of the book expertly restored. Lower left part of the title-page of the first book ("Trinum Marinum") torn off (with some loss of text) and expertly restored. Otherwise in good condition. - The engravings show among others "Pontus Euxinus" (Black Sea), "Moscowitische Residenz Kremelin", "Gli Dardanelli", "Archipelagus" (Map of Greece, Crete and Aegean Sea), "Constantinopel", "Candia", "Rhodus", "Famagusta", "Griechisch Weissenburg" (Belgrade),  "Bursa" (a city in Turkey), "Constantinopoli".
