A photographic documentation of picture frames, mostly French, from late 16th to early 19th century, in the Louvre, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, museums of Aix-en-Provence, Lyon and Dijon, and in private collections: Tuffier, Decorcelle, Dormeuil, Jacques Doucet, etc., with an historical introduction. - Boards somewhat dirty, cloth on the spine at the top and at the bottom a little flawy. Inside well preserved. - Léon Deshairs, born February 14, 1874 in Chalon-sur-Saône, died May 20, 1967 in Créteil, was a French art historian, writer and designer.
