Plate II from the first part of De Bry's America (The arriual of the Englishemen in Virginia), this one with german text, is detail of eastern part from White's famous map of Virginia. Shows the coast of North Carolina, oriented to the west. "Weapemeoc" and "Secotan," (Albemarle Sound), "Roanoac" (Roanoke Island) and part of Currituck Sound with the Carolina Outer Banks divided into six islands. With some Indian village's (Pasquenoke etc.). Verso blank, left margin short, some foxing. See picture.
