Christoph Weigel the Elder (1654 in Redwitz - 1725 in Nuremberg) was a German engraver, art dealer and publisher. In Nuremberg, he worked very closely with the imperial geographer and cartographer Johann Baptist Homann (1664–1724) on the production of his maps. Around the same time, his younger brother Johann Christoph Weigel ran a very successful art dealership in Nuremberg.
After 1725, Weigel's publishing house was continued by his widow Magdalena Esther, who published several of her late husband's works, such as his Wappenbuch.
