Michael Wolgemut (1434 in Nuremberg - 1519 in the same city; also known as Michael Wohlgemut or Michael Wohlgemuth) was a painter and a master of woodcut printing. He was a pupil of Hans Pleydenwurff and the leading figure of the older Franconian school, as well as a role model and teacher to Albrecht Dürer.
