Giovanni Pascoli (1855, San Mauro di Romagna - 1912, Bologna) was an Italian late Art Nouveau poet, mostly working in the Decadence style. As a literary scholar and professor of literature at the University of Bologna, he was especially famous for his works on Dante Alighieri.
