Jean-Baptiste Bourguignon d'Anville (1697 in Paris - 1782 ibid.) was a French geographer and the reformer of old and new cartography. He worked as an encyclopaedist on the Encyclopédie by Denis Diderot and Jean Baptiste le Rond d'Alembert.
