Petrus Camper (1722, Leiden - 1789, The Hague) was a Dutch physician, anatomist, physiologist, zoologist, anthropologist, palaeontologist and a naturalist in the Age of Enlightenment. He was one of the first to take an interest in comparative anatomy, palaeontology, and the facial angle.
His son Adriaan Gilles Camper (1759-1820) published much of his father's unpublished research in addition to a biography of him.
