Johann Weichard Valvasor, Baron of Galleneck and Neudorff, Lord of Wagensperg and Lichtenberg, in Slovene Janez Vajkard Valvasor (1641 in Ljubljana - 1693 in Gurkfeld, now Krško), was an important Slovenian polymath, topographer and historian.
