Josef Sudek (1896 in Kolín - 1976 in Prague) was an important Czech photographer of Prague motifs, studio arrangements, still life, reportage, landscape and advertising. He started photography at the age of 17. He created his peak works at a mature age - after he had resigned himself to the influences of modern trends.
