With ornamental title-cartouche, another ornamental cartouche with explanatory notes ("Moscuae Urbs Loca Insigniora" 1.-20.), 2 coats-of-arms, 3 figures and a compass. 35:46 cm (13 3/4 x 18 1/4 inch.).

Koeman IV, map 2863, ed. 41:1-3 (1617/18 B&H 6). - A birds-eye-view of Moscow from the sixth and last volume of Civitates Orbis Terrarum, published in a much smaller edition than previous volumes, and it is therefore rarer than most of Braun & Hogenberg city views. - Rare first (proof) state of the plate - without the three lines of the text in the view and without the engraved names of the rivers.
