Published by J. Grüninger, Strasbourg, 1522. With title in a decorative border above the map and a figure (monarch on the throne) in upper right corner of the map. 32:37 cm (12 1/2 x 14 1/2 inch.).

Laurent (Lorenz) Fries' (1485-1532) first edition. A map of Poland, Russia, Hungary and Transylvania. - The woodcut border and ornaments on the verso are said to be the work of Hans Holbein. - Some wormholes in margins. Fresh, dark impression.
