Original old colouring. With ornamental title-cartouche (with a coat-of-arms), 4 elephants, 2 sea creatures and a sailing ship. 37,5:44 cm (14 3/4 x 17 1/4 inch.).

Norwich 11; V. d. Broecke 175; Koeman III, map 8720:31, ed. 31:041 (1592 Latin). - This beautiful map depicts the famous Kingdom of Prester John along with much of eastern and central Africa, including the two Ptolemaic lakes, the supposed source for the Nile River.
